Jake currently holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst® certification, administered by Investment Management Consultants Association® and taught in conjunction with The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania since December of 2006. Jake earned IMCA’s Foundations and Endowments certificate in conjunction with the Wharton School in May 2008. Jake is a member of the Investment Management Consultants Association (IMCA).

Mike Maré
Executive Vice President of Investments, Colorado Branch Manager

Mike is married and the proud father of a son and a daughter.  He and his family reside in beautiful Colorado Springs and enjoy the active Colorado lifestyle. As a financial advisor, he has worked for Edward Jones, Key Investment Services (Key Bank), New England Financial, and he is the founder of Quantum Wealth Strategies.  He recently moved Quantum Wealth Strategies into partnership with NOVA Financial Services and is excited about the powerful Colorado coalition he now leads and the extensive benefits it brings to his current and future clients.

Prior to being a financial advisor, Michael served as a Tucson Police Officer, Detective, and Sergeant.  He was a long time member of the Tucson Police Department Hostage Negation Team and a Certified Police Ethics Instructor.  He describes his fourteen years with the Tucson Police Department as a wonderful chapter of his life where he had the privilege of serving the public and working with exceptionally talented peers and leaders.

Mike graduated from Amphitheater High School in Tucson, Arizona then attended Rhodes University in Grahmstown, South Africa.  He returned to Tucson and finished his Bachelor of Science Degree at the University of Arizona.  He later completed a Master of Science in Management at Northern Arizona University.

Janet Baker, CFP® CDFA™
Senior Vice President, Financial Planner

Janet Baker joined NOVA Financial Services in 2009 with over 20 years of experience in financial management and financial planning. In 1983, Janet graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce Honors from Queen’s University at Kingston, Ontario – one of the world’s top ranking business schools. Janet has earned the Certified Financial Planner® and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst™ designations. Janet holds the investment advisor license as well as an Arizona state life and health insurance producer’s license.

Having owned and operated a successful small business, and having experienced the loss of loved ones unexpectedly, as well as a divorce, Janet knows firsthand the importance of financial planning and is passionately committed to educating and serving her clients. Her areas of expertise include budgeting, survivor needs, education funding, investing and asset allocation, tax management, retirement planning, estate planning, cross-border planning, and divorce financial planning.

Janet is an active member of the Financial Planning Association of Southern Arizona, and a current Advisory Board Member of Divorce Recovery, an organization dedicated to providing emotional and educational support to members of Tucson families going through a divorce or separation. In addition, she has volunteered with the Women’s Foundation of Southern Arizona, and with Junior Achievement – an organization that brings financial literacy to Tucson’s elementary schools. Janet teaches the “Financial Life After Loss” class for Divorce Recovery – a class for people who have experienced the loss of a loved one through death or divorce and who need help managing their finances.

Jeff Johnson

Jeff Johnson joined NOVA Financial  Services in early 2016, having began his career at Merrill Lynch in 1999. Jeff enjoys working with clients all over the country, assisting them with all aspects of financial planning.

In his spare time, Jeff enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife Denise.

David Allen
Vice President, Branch Manager - Las Vegas

Dave Allen is a Vice President and Branch Manager for NOVA Financial Services in their Las Vegas office.  He has 35 years of experience in the Financial Services Industry.  He’s been a Financial Advisor and also held Branch Manager Positions, providing him a unique skillset in today’s financial world.

Dave helps his clients with retirement and social security planning, and assists Jake Kagele and the NOVA Team with business development, marketing and public relations. Dave’s experience and personality help to leverage the expertise of the entire Nova Team.

Dave attended the University of Utah, spent 16 years in Anchorage, AK where he managed the EF Hutton office, was the Complex Manager for Merrill Lynch in Tucson from 1999 through 2005, and most recently served as a Director for Kestra Private Wealth Services in San Diego.

Dave and his wife Darla live in Summerlin, a community outside Las Vegas, where they share a passion for the game of golf.

Thomas M. Fischer

Tom Fischer joined NOVA Financial Services with more than 15 years of financial planning experience. He brings creative estate and business planning ideas together with solid investment strategies and innovative insurance solutions. These proven ideas bring clarity to the often complex task of accumulating and protecting wealth, as well as transferring that wealth onto the next generation in an orderly and efficient manner

Tom will work with you and your clients to get a firm grasp of your goals and dreams. These goals and dreams will be woven into your financial plan; and Tom will act as a catalyst to get things done. Tom’s primary measure of success is the fact that his planning implementation efforts allow his clients to spend less time worrying about their financial situation, and more time on what they love in life. Tom holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from Northern Arizona University. Born in Tucson, Tom is a native Arizonan and is an avid outdoor sports enthusiast. He currently resides in Mesa, Arizona along with his wife Sherri and two young sons, Cole and Logan.

Vic DeNigris is a graduate from Fordham University with a degree in Finance and completed requirements for Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS®). Vic worked over 30 years in commercial lending and retail banking and retired in 2002 as Vice President and Manager at Bank of America. After several years as a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones, he recently decided to take his knowledge and experience to the next level with NOVA Financial Services, where he can offer a variety of financial products and services customized to his clients’ financial needs. 

Jeanne Klouda Jameson
Financial Advisor

Jeanne has been in the financial services industry since 2011. Prior to joining NOVA Financial  Services, Jeanne was a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch. She also previously worked in the aerospace field, utilizing the same process discipline that she now uses for her clients. Her focus is on developing strategies that enable retirees, professionals, small business owners and their families to meet their immediate needs, while saving for longer-term goals.

Her thirty years of engineering experience enables her to streamline her client’s financial situations to identify measurable goals that she can guide her clients in reaching.  Her holistic approach to planning has led her to pursue her Certified Financial Planner Designation through the American College for Financial Planning, where she has recently graduated from the coursework and is preparing currently to sit for the Certification Exam.

Adam Wade
Financial Advisor - Colorado Springs

Adam has over 12 years of industry experience working with large companies, families, individuals and local business owners. He believes one’s self-worth is important to separate from their net-worth. He thanks and credits his parents, teachers, fiancé and countless others, throughout his life, for the motivation and passion to serve others in this way.

Out of the office, Adam enjoys running, skiing, yoga and many other outdoor activities Colorado affords. He’s completed numerous marathons and run over the Grand Canyon and back. He and his fiancé live in downtown Colorado Springs.

Susan Kaufman, MBA

With more than 31 years of experience as a financial advisor, Susan helps individuals and business owners develop plans for creating and keeping wealth. She provides guidance for accumulating assets, preserving capital, and reducing portfolio volatility. She concentrates on managing investment portfolios, and designing retirement and estate plans.Fluent in Spanish and French, Susan is a specialist with Foreign Nationals. She provides her NRA clients timely and strategic investment advice in order to meet goals for their US investment portfolios.During her career, Susan has worked for only two companies; Smith Barney (E.F.Hutton,-Shearson Lehman) and Wells Fargo Advisors (A.G.Edwards, Wachovia). Susan received her MBA from the University of Arizona and her B.A. in Psychology and French from the University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. She has one daughter, Jennifer, who is a student in veterinary school. Her recreational activities include scuba diving, yoga and hiking.

Jeff Daniels

Jeff Daniels joined NOVA Financial Services in June of 2010. Before going into private practice with NFIS, Jeff spent 11 years at Edward Jones building his business and his unique expertise of solving and implementing retirement plans and financial strategies for individuals and small businesses.

Jeff has been a resident of Southern Arizona for over 20 years and resides in the Vail area. He is the devoted father of three children. Jeff is very active in his community and has participated on several non-profit boards and organizations over the years. In addition, he has mentored youth in his community through various athletic programs. Jeff is a licensed Series 7 and Series 65 Financial Advisor.

Marcos Madril

Marcos is a graduate from The University of Arizona and part of his mission is to advise families on ways to send their children to college without depleting their own retirement. Marcos Madril has been an active member of the local community and is currently involved with a number of community organizations, including Tucson Chamber of Commerce, Tucson Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Arizona District 5 Little League. When Marcos is not helping his clients achieve their financial goals, he is spending time with his three boys or helping out in his community.

Brittany Kagele
Operations and Business Development Manager

Brittany has over twelve years experience working in the financial services industry as an office administrator and has extensive knowledge in client relationships and account services. She began as an intern at an independent Wachovia firm in 2005 and has been working in the financial industry ever since. She oversees our administrative team and marketing  for the company.

Brittany received her degree from the University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management, with a Major in Business Administration and specialty in Marketing. Brittany is sure to give back to her college by participating in guest-speaking engagements, lectures and assists with many student activities such as resume checks, interview preparations and employer outreach assistance. She was recently honored by the Eller College of Management’s Professional Women in Business Association as a Legacy Honoree.

In her spare time, she is involved with many community activities by serving on the board and several committees for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Tucson (she will serve as the Board of Directors President in 2019)  and is also a committee member for the Blair Charity Group. She also enjoys spending time with her husband Jake and their dog Jordi.

Leslie Rodriguez
Office Administrator

A Tucson native, Leslie has been actively involved in the Tucson community for many years. She received her education from the University of Arizona and was a co-owner of a local print shop for many years. She grew a passion for working in the clerical field and has experience in office administration and operations.

In her spare time, Leslie enjoys spending time with her three children, two of which graduated from the University of Arizona. She is also proud to have a graduate from Concordia University.

Martie Roland
Investment Assistant to Mike Maré

Martie has over 25 years of experience in the Financial Services industry. Prior to coming to Nova, she was in charge of compliance for New England Financial in Colorado and prior to that she was in an operational position with UBS. She holds FINRA licenses 7, 9/10 and 24.

She is originally from Indiana and now is proud to call Fountain Colorado home. Martie is married and has five adult children and 3 grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoys motorcycle rides with her husband, gardening and photography.

Josie Hoey
Administrative Assistant - Colorado Springs

Josie has been in the financial industry for 7 years, getting her start with New England Financial. She is pleased to call NOVA her new home. She has a degree in Accounting from Regis University and holds a Series 6 license.  She has an extensive background in administration and accounting.  Prior to being in the financial industry, she was an Assistant Administrator for a 1,000 member church. She is also a veteran, having spent 4 years in the US Army.

Josie is originally from New Jersey and now calls Colorado Springs her home.  She is married and has 7 grandchildren, all of whom live in Georgia. Josie loves spending time with her grandchildren, visiting the beach, and taking trips with her husband on their motorcycle. She is also involved in her church and spends time helping out at Urban Peak, which is a homeless shelter for teenagers.

Leslie Lauretta
Administrative Assistant to Janet Baker

Leslie Lauretta joined the Nova team in July of 2017 and brings her extensive experience in office and hospitality management, communication, record keeping and accounting as an administrative assistant. She is an enthusiastic and innovative professional with an affinity for problem solving, vast knowledge of computer software and excellent troubleshooting skills. Among her many accomplishments, Leslie successfully owned and operated a popular eating establishment with her husband on the Oregon Coast for ten years.

She has a special place in her heart for the elderly and handicapped, having nursed her ailing mother and father through a difficult period in their final years. A talented chef, she always volunteered to cater special events involving the needy and infirmed in her community, never failing to offer comfort and assistance when needed.

Leslie is married to her husband of over thirty years and has a daughter completing her studies in Environmental Science at Oregon State University.

Karen Blaylock
Receptionist/Administrative Assistant

Karen Blaylock is an efficient and reliable professional whose focus is to increase organizational value through effective interpersonal leadership, collaborative management, vision and operational efficiency. Karen has been able to successfully utilize these skills throughout a range of positions managing marketing, sales and administrative support functions. Karen brings a diversity of business experience from an array of industries, including retail, senior assisted living, print/broadcast media and small business operations management.

Most recently, Karen served as Director of Sales and Marketing at The Bridge at Farmington, in Farmington, New Mexico. There, Karen was responsible for all sales and marking activities to ensure facility occupancy level objectives were achieved and resident satisfaction levels were maintained. Prior to The Bridge, Karen served as Digital Brand Manager for the Farmington Daily Times and at KOLD TV (Channel 13) as Digital Sales Specialist. For 13 years she served as Operations Manager for Men’s Warehouse in Tucson, AZ. Early on in her career Karen’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to pursue independent employment, starting her own medical transcription business.

Karen earned a Degree in Fine Art from Waubonsee College in Illinois. She is a 20-year resident of Tucson and the proud mother of four.
